The Saudi Irrigation Organization concludes the Innovative Irrigation Hackathon at King Faisal University and honors the winners.

Under the patronage and attendance of the President of the Saudi Irrigation Organization "SIO", Eng. Mohammed bin Zaid Abu Haid, and the honored presence of the Acting President of King Faisal University, Dr. Muhanna bin Abdullah Al-Dulaimi, along with several leaders from both the SIO and the University, the activities of the "Innovative Irrigation Hackathon" organized by the the Saudi Irrigation Organization in collaboration with King Faisal University, concluded today, Thursday, September 5, 2024 AD. The event was held over three days in the University’s Dome Hall and featured outstanding participation from creative teams that presented advanced digital solutions in the fields of irrigation and agriculture. Eng. Mohammed bin Zaid Abu Haid, President of the Saudi Irrigation Organization, expressed his pride in the success of the event, thanking the university for its collaboration and for hosting the hackathon. He emphasized the importance of partnerships between various entities in supporting innovation and achieving strategic sustainability goals in sustainability, reaffirming the SIO's commitment to transforming innovative ideas into practical projects that enhance sustainable development in the Kingdom. In his speech, Dr. Muhanna bin Abdullah Al-Dulaimi, Acting President of King Faisal University, praised the idea of the hackathon, expressing gratitude to the Saudi Irrigation Organization for choosing the university as a permanent partner for such events. At the conclusion of the event, Eng. Abu Haid honored Al-Amro Group for Engineering Consultations, the strategic sponsor of the hackathon, in appreciation of its effective role in supporting the organization of this prominent event. The final projects presented by the participating teams were also showcased, and the winning teams were awarded for their outstanding performance in delivering innovative solutions based on the latest technologies.
